Soldiers In Jockstraps Do Soldiers Stationed On Bases In Countries Where English Is Not Spoken Tend To Learn The Local Language?

Do soldiers stationed on bases in countries where English is not spoken tend to learn the local language? - soldiers in jockstraps

Of course I'm not talking about countries that are killed by enemy fighters, but in countries such as Germany or other dangerous places.

Do soldiers bases with language courses?

I think I am more interested in knowing that many soldiers to learn the local language well enough to be a conversation and not one or two words.

Thank you for considering this issue.

We lived in Germany, almost four years and, yes, I know people who speak the language fluently. There are courses, but they are extra, and depends primarily on the life, as later, when classes, etc..

But most people learn enough to order, to ask from the menu for directions, etc. There are always people who have nothing and never get to leave the base. These are usually people who tell you that the country sucks and I hated it.

Yes, they have courses for people who want to learn the local language. They also sell a ton of books and guides. the rest is up to you and how much contact you have with the local population.
